Feels Good

I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend! It was a very productive one here in Halifax! I finally made it downtown for a little stroll amongst some of my favourite shops. One particular shop that was on the top of my list was a new one to downtown, Inkwell Boutique. It's filled with beautiful cards, tea towels and all things handmade. The work of Mary Kate McDevitt caught my eye and I am now the proud owner of one of her prints [the one below]. If you are in Halifax, I highly recommend a trip to Inkwell.

I really love Westin Hotel and Resorts new ad campaign. What a refreshing approach to hotel advertising! The campaign is shot by French photographer, Grégoire Alexandre and none of the imagery was created digitally.

This ad by Nike has been getting a lot of attention at this year's Cannes festival. I really like it so I thought I would share!

Blurb

Blurb books is a fantastic site where you can make your own books. I know there are quite a few companies out there that offer the same service but I can personally attest to how fantastic Blurb is after creating two different books I couldn't believe the quality of the finished product! Their new ad campaign seems to be popping up everywhere and I think it's really great.

Thump Thump

I ordered these posters a little while ago for Dave. I love them because they combine both of our worlds. They are done by a company called Ork Posters and look so great in person! Now we just need to decide which wall they will live on.

I was very lucky to have the opportunity to contribute to the Decorating on a Dime story in the latest issue of East Coast Living Magazine. The article [written by Christina Copp] is full of tid bits and ideas to help you decorate on a budget! The whole issue is really great.

Well the movers have come and gone and we are officially indoor camping for the next couple of days. There is still a lot of cleaning to do but last night I got a chance to catch up with the blog-o-sphere. Apparently I have a thing for the alphabet posters and prints. Friday!

Happy Friday! Today is quite a big day. It is my last day of work here in St. John's! We are moving back to Halifax next week and couldn't be more excited! I am going to try my best to keep up with blogging over the next couple of weeks as we get settled. This is the work of one of my favourite illustrators, Stina Persson.
