This month's issue of The Nest features a house tour of the very cute couple behind clothing and accessory line, Emerson Made. Their home, as expected, is just as amazing as their products. I love that they don't hide anything away in closets or drawers. Extra light bulbs, sponges, tools... they are all on display in beautiful jars. On a side note... the whole story was styled by the man behind one of my favourite online magazines Sweet Paul!

Little Lion Man

Mumford and sons have been my go to band for quite a while [thanks Kate!], the Avett brothers have as well so what a pleasant surprise to see them performing together [with Bob Dylan] at the Grammies this past Sunday. Today I wanted to share that video but unfortunately I couldn't find a good quality video of their performance so I am going to post one of my favourite's from Mumford and Sons, Little Lion Man. I've been meaning to post about this video for awhile, it's directed beautifully, not to mention the song is so great! Enjoy!

Healthy-ish Valentine

After seeing this tutorial for dessert packaging I wanted to do some sort of baked good as a Valentine's day treat for my co-workers. We are a small group and we all try to eat on the healthy-ish side so I decided to make home-made granola bars. I found this recipe but modified it by adding dried cranberries, walnuts, pecans and almonds [all chopped] and mini chipits [I did say healthy-ish]. The packaging turned out really well! I added a small shipping tag and bright pink raffia and voila! I will definitely be doing this for other occasions using different shapes!

Studio Tuesday

Studio Tuesday has been one of "favourite" shops on etsy for quite some time. It belongs to David Scheirer, a wonderful artist who clearly loves the outdoors. His pieces are full of whimsy and I love them! I was recently browsing through his shop [wanting everything!] and came across this piece. The puffins, the whales, the ocean.... it basically captured Newfoundland in the summer. I ordered the print and couldn't have been happier when it arrived!
